"Successful Critical Communication in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019 - Formula 1" Hamad Alnueimi, ADP HQ 

The judges found that this deployment integrated some interesting innovations and applications, including traffic management and artificial intelligence use, to manage and secure the Grand Prix. 

Best Use of Critical Communications in Public Safety
"B-LiFE and ETELM deployment in Italy for key worker COVID-19 testing"

Roland Gueubel, Center for Applied Molecular Technologies – CTMA/Université Catholique de Louvain 

The judges heard that Italy received a combined innovative mission-critical broadband and voice network, along with a critical mobile medical application, to address COVID-19 testing. 

Best Use of Critical Communications in Transport
"Transport for London - Push to Talk for School Buses"

 Thomas Brewster, Transport for London

The judges observed that TfL quickly put together a customized solution using off-the-shelf technology and its digital radio network to address communications in school buses, made more difficult because of the global pandemic. 

Best Use of Critical Communications in Utilities
"Going Digital: Energa" 

Magdalena Potejka-Malicka, Motorola Solutions 

The Polish utility deployed a large, first-of-its-kind TETRA network to completely replace its previous analog and GSM solution that allows operability with search and rescue and other critical agencies.
